"Planet Dirt was built upon the premise that every child has their own strengths and it is those strengths that should be tapped into to promote a healthy lifestyle and good self esteem".
Planet Dirt Action Week was created in keeping with the 4 B's
Be Fun •
Be Safe •
Be Different •
Be Yourself
BE FUN
The mission statement for PLANET DIRT is:
Everyone associated with us should have a positive experience.
Each one of our carefully selected activities has been chosen to THRILL the participant by providing memories of a lifetime. Although it is the activities that create the smile, they are complimented by the friendly & professional staff. The days are set up to have fun from the moment they arrive to the moment they go home.
BE SAFE
In the spirit of keeping everyone smiling, it is important to keep them all safe. The staff and activity providers have been trained to provide a safe experience for everyone at ALL times. The ratios of participants to instructors are lower than industry standards. We are committed to keeping the program small enough so that every staff member gets to know personally each and every child. This closeness will surely provide the safe environment that we hold paramount.
BE DIFFERENT
Why be different? Because being the same is boring. We believe that there is no such thing as "one size fits all". Every child is different, every day is different and every relationship is different. Planet Dirt recognizes that kids need to try new things in order to test their own personal boundaries.
We also recognize that it may be impractical for children to participate in activities that are considered out of the mainstream. We are committed to offering activities that are considered to be "not your everyday walk in the woods". Why be different? Because it's WAY more fun than being the same.
BE YOURSELF
This "B" is the sole reason we offer the program. After watching kids learn to ride dirt bikes and seeing the smiles on their faces, we realized something very important – not all kids are the same.
Each and every activity has been carefully selected to allow each child to progress on an individual basis. We do not have "best participant awards", MVP's or even a winning team. Planet Dirt was built upon the premise that every child has their own strengths and it is those strengths that should be tapped into to promote a healthy lifestyle and good self esteem.
Learning moments are around us all day long. We plan on capitalizing on that to instill respect and confidence in all of our participants.
ACTIVITIES
We are always looking for fun, safe activities that will thrill the participants and promote respect & confidence. These are just some of the activities that are planned for this summer.
